Setting

Bloomsdale is a Southern town set somewhere non-specific in the Southern USA. It is a close-knit community, that started off as a farming town and gradually expanded, now including the brand new power plant. Bloomsdale nevertheless retains that small town feel; most people know each other and indeed, are probably related.

The Bloomsdale Gazette
Run by the idealistic Milton Hughes, this local paper chronicles everything from the top headlines to local gossip, making it a good starting point for new members and characters alike.

The Town Hall
The Town Hall is where everything from town meetings to dinner dances are held. Also inside it is the town police station and other municipal offices.

The Galaxy Diner
Owned by the friendly Hector and Ruby Reynolds, the Galaxy Diner provides cheap and fairly good quality food, and, of course, a chance to spy on whoever else might be in there.

Morning Star Plant
The main employer in the town, the power plant draws most of the male population through its doors every day to push pens, monitor dials and do other sorts of thrilling jobs. The Plant is new to the town, run by Mr. Benedict Egg, and professes to be a Great Thing for the development of Bloomsdale.

The Black Widow Bar
To the distress of the wives of Bloomsdale, this bar run by John Fenwick is set right next to the power plant, where the men of the town can be tempted in to join the regular crowd of bikers.

Eleanor Roosevelt School
The recently re-named school is where all of Bloomsdale's children go to learn their Reading, 'Riting, and 'Rithmetic. Due to the small size of the town, the large school building educates the elementary, middle, and high school students, housing each group in a different section of the building.

Foxwell Farm
Foxwell Farm has been a Bloomsdale institution ever since the town's founding. Once a large and prosperous farm, things have been going downhill for the past few years, ever since Charles Foxwell retired and left the running of the farm to his twin sons, Daniel and Nathaniel. Although it has had to start competing with the plant for workers, Foxwell Farm continues to be one of Bloomsdale's big employers. The Foxwell Farm also rents rooms to some of the singles in town-- If you'd like your character to rent a room at Foxwell's, let us know!
